Einstein defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

It reminded me of the time I was complaining to my sister that I had put on weight. She gently suggested I was perhaps either eating too much and/or being too sedentary. I was furious. It couldn’t possibly be true! And yet when I tried doing something different, exercising more and eating a little less, I got a different result!

It was of course screamingly obvious. And yet how often do we see others being insane? Colleagues complaining about their work……for years. Friends simmering with resentment and habitually saying ‘yes’ to everyone. Loved ones being permanently tired but in the habit of staying up late every night.

We see insanity everywhere except for ourselves.

How insane are you?
