A policeman notices a drunk man searching for something under a streetlight and asks what he has lost.  The drunk says he has lost his keys and so the policeman starts to help him look for them.  After a short while the policemen questions the drunk on whether or not he lost them under the streetlight.  The drunk replies no, he lost them in the park, but it is too dark there to see them.

Many clients come to coaching eager to find their mojo.  Some may be a little bit disengaged at work or others a little bit dissatisfied in life.  Often they arrive at coaching with the solution:  I need to find a new job, life partner, house et al.

And yet, more often than not, they are looking in the wrong place. They are really searching for themselves.
