What’s interesting is what some of us choose to get up to whilst we are experiencing that uncomfortable gap.

Many of us let our imaginations run wild creating stories to explain why there is a gap. Often we can find someone to blame.

Others choose to go into overdrive, keen to engage in any activity so long as we can avoid experiencing that uncomfortable gap.

Some more effectively simply ‘mind the gap’. Instead of letting their mind run away with fantastical stories or their bodies run off in frenetic activity, they focus their mind on the gap and ask: how important will this be in 5 years time?
