So this week, I was at a dinner with a retired Colonel, Management Consultant and Entrepreneur. I was surprised to learn that even in their twilight years, stuff still keeps them awake at night. It turns out that once the comfort of a professional routine ends, so does the comfort of a predictable life.

They were, in turn, surprised to learn that my work involves people figuring out what they want from their career and their lives. ‘In my day, we just worked 12 hour days, we never thought about what we wanted’.

We all wake up at night sometimes. How we choose to live our lives during the day will determine if we wake up from a dream or a nightmare.
