It’s D-Day.  So it seems fitting to talk about freedom.

Yesterday, the Queen described the wartime generation as resilient, calling for ‘a revival of spirit, a new unconquerable resolve’.

For those of us who are not part of the wartime generation, the unification across so many nations for our personal freedom is unimaginable.

Most of us value personal freedom.  And yet many of us feel trapped.  Trapped in our relationships, jobs or even our lives.

But the Queen gave us a clue as to what we might be missing: our spirit.  That part of us that cannot be fully explained and requires a leap of faith.  That part of us that is ‘more than courage and endurance’.   That part of us that only gets a medal once we believe we are capable of the extraordinary.

Let’s start a revival today.
