For the first time, today’s blog post comes to you one day late. The question is, is late better than never?

As we know, even when we are not speaking we are communicating volumes. Simply by being late, we are sending a message. Only when we are not speaking, our message is wide-open to interpretation. And usually that interpretation will be negative.

Think about when our colleagues are consistently late for work, we might infer they are not committed to their job.

If we are late for meetings, we are unwittingly behaving as if our time is more important than others.

So whether we are late for colleagues, distracted by gadgets or yawning in a meeting, our actions speak louder than words. And over time, our actions become our reputation.
