Queen Elizabeth’s death has allowed many of us to reflect on her legacy as a leader. And her legacy has been synonymous with service. She was the ultimate role model of Servant Leadership (yes, it’s a thing). As Justin Welby said in his sermon at Westminster Abbey, servant leadership is the opposite of clinging to power and privilege.

Service is not a word that we hear very often these days. And yet some of the key principles of servant leadership include very modern concepts: diversity of thought; ethical decision-making; and the empowerment of others.

Today, individualism is very much a trend. And yet the paradox is if we want to leave a legacy, we need to lift others up.
