My 10 yr old daughter and I were deep in conversation about her current challenges late last night. As she reflected on our conversation, she said: ‘The library of life is experience’, right? It stopped me in my tracks. Out of the mouths of babes.

So many of us want a life of control and certainty. And sometimes that creates a very small library. As a client acknowledged earlier today, ‘If we always do what we always did, we will always get what we always got’.

As children, the only way we live our lives is through new experiences. The question it raises for us adults is: how big do we want our library?
