I often find inspiration for my blog in my Thursday morning spinning class. Today, I was chatting to one of my fellow spinners who confessed to setting the effort level on their bike depending on their mood. If they are not really up for it, they drop their resistance setting to easy!

As they say were I come from: ‘Mental’ pronounced ‘Men’ul’ (Geordie accent required for maximum effect). Loosely translated it means ‘That’s crazy’! But literally, for my fellow spinner her experience of the class was determined by her mental state.

What I have learned through coaching is that most of us are ‘men’ul’. And if we can effectively manage our mind it is our super power.

I wasn’t really in the mood for spinning this morning either. Like most parents, I’d already done a day’s work before 8am. However, I chose to be grateful that I had a bike in the most popular spinning class in town. I chose to make the most of it. Obviously, I’m entirely ‘men’ul’ too!
