Remember your mind’s job is to think, your heart’s job is to beat and your lungs’ job is to breathe.

We tend to notice our heart when it is running at a million miles an hour. And notice our lungs when we are short of breath. But most of the time we leave both alone to do their vital work.

Our mind, however, is another matter. Most of us are in its grip.

If we want to stay sane, however, it’s useful to know when to leave our mind alone. To move our attention away from catastrophising, ruminating and over thinking.

As Buddha said ‘Rule your mind or it will rule you.’
